MVSB sponsors the 29th Annual WLNH Children’s Auction

Meredith Village Savings Bank (MVSB) is pleased to be a sponsor for the 2010 WLNH Children’s Auction, which supports children and families in need throughout the Lakes Region. This year, the televised auction is scheduled for Tuesday, December 7 through Friday, December 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day and on Saturday, December 11 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

MVSB, which has supported the auction every year since it started in 1982 and was the first corporate sponsor for the event, contributed $5,000 this year in its role as the “Ed’s Corner Sponsor,” named in honor of Ed Darling, one of the Children’s Auction founders and the host of the live auction broadcast. As part of Ed’s Corner, Darling will interview several members of the bank’s leadership team on-air throughout the week.

“We’re pleased to have Meredith Village Savings Bank on board as a sponsor again this year,” said Darling.

Several new events have been added to the already full schedule of Lady’s Day Out activities throughout downtown on Saturday, November 20.

“The Wizard of Paws has joined our list of merchants as has the Depot Exchange,” said Jessica Jones the organizer of the day-long activities. “Now we’re up to 27 merchants.”

Visitors to Beth’s Café will get two free treats.

“Not only is Beth giving away a nibble to visitors but her café is also hosting be the accomplished InsideOut trio,” said Jones.

“We all sing and play a variety of instruments from the mandolin to a harmonica,” said Darla Dee Gould the group’s leader. “We range from gospel to classic rock, Patsy Cline to Neil Young. It’s a ball.”
