Oxford Hills Project Graduation Benefit

The O.H.C.H.S. Cafeteria is where all the fun activity will be this Saturday.  Doors open at 11am with the Chinese Auction beginning at 1:00pm.  There will also be a 50/50 raffle and $1.00 table items. Tickets are $1.00 each or 8 for $5.00...What A Deal!  Lunch and Snacks will also be available.  Want to make a donation to a good cause?  Call Nancy Henderson at 674-3060.  Items may be dropped off at O.H.C.H.S., just see Pam Colby.  Storm Date is Sunday, February 6.  All proceeds to benefit Oxford Hills Project Graduation. 

CALLING ALL ARTIST FOR THE NORWAY ARTS FESTIVAL

NORWAY – Calling all artists! The Norway Arts Festival is seeking artists and artisans for the 44th Annual Norway Arts Festival, Saturday, July 9, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (rain date July 10)
 
The Western Maine Art Group (WMAG) will again be overseeing the art show this year as a co-sponsor of the event along with Norway Downtown, which manages the variety of musical, theatrical and dance performances as well as food vendors and community booths. Public officials have again approved the road to be closed to enable a pedestrian mall from 258 to 450 Main Street.
 
Artists are being sought representing a broad spectrum of art including paintings, drawings, photography, wood, metal and glass sculpture; fine jewelry; handmade prints; fiber and textile/fiber arts and more. All art work must be the original design and creation of the exhibitor. Artists can enter work for judging to compete for cash prizes in addition to a variety of sponsored purchase awards.

50 years ago a family in Western Maine that was logging, hunting and trapping
on Greenwood, Maine's largest mountain peak decided to turn a few logging trails into a ski slopes.  The Cross family put hard work, care and creativity into the development of the Mt Abram Resort.  Little did they know how many skiers would be making happy turns for 50 years to follow.  The Cross's were entrepreneurial pioneers in the ski industry.

CALLING ALL ARTISTS FOR THE MOORE PARK SHOW!

SOUTH PARIS – The Moore Park Art Show in South Paris is seeking exhibitors for a celebration and sale of original arts, Saturday, August 13, 2011 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Rain date Aug. 14). The 43rd anniversary show will feature 60 artists and artisans with live entertainment and fine fare. The event is presented by the Town of Paris, Parks and Recreation Department is sponsored by the Western Maine Art Group and the Mahoosuc Arts Council.

Artists are being sought representing a broad spectrum of art including paintings, drawings, photography, wood, metal and glass sculpture; fine jewelry; handmade prints; fiber and textile/fiber arts and more. All art work must be the original design and creation of the exhibitor. Booths are limited. Artists also have the opportunity to submit work for awards judging.
