Winners of the 24th Annual Leon Truman Golf Tournament

The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the winners of the 24th Annual Leon Truman Golf Tournament.
First Place Gross: MetLife-Brian Hamlin, Steve Jones, Joe Baker, Perry Bajer, with a score of 114.

Second Place Gross: Northeast Bank-Chris Delamater, Pete Connell, Jim Delamater, Tom Wyman, with a score of 116.

First Place Net: Grover Gundrilling-Gene Corriveau, David Berry, Brad Demers, Mark McKay, with a score of 100.

Second Place Net: Maine Machine Products-Bruce Fox, Berney Roberts, Corri Reynolds, Bobby James, with a score of 102.

Putting Contest-Paris Hill, winner recieves a one year membership to Paris Hill Country Club-Brent Wyman.

Putting Contest-Norway, winner recieves a one year membership to Norway Country Club-Walter Reed.

On The Green-Norway, winner recieves a Whitewater Rafting Trip-Bobby James.

Mother-Son to be featured Artists in Norway for month of November

November is family exhibit month in Norway sponsored by the Western Maine Art Group. The featured artists at the Norway Savings Bank Operations Center at 356 Main street for the month are the mother and son artistic team of painter Barbara Traficonte and Photographer Steve Traficonte.

Barbara graduated with a bachelor of fine art from Douglass College, Rutgers University in 1963.  Her major field was studio art and her minor fields were teaching and American literature.  After moving to Maine she continued to take painting classes at the Maine College of Art in Portland.  She now paints and teaches others to paint.  Barbara lives in Waterford, Maine with her husband. Their nest is now empty but their lives are filled with the joy of painting and owning the 100 Aker Wood Frame Shop and Art Supply Store on Main Street in Norway.  Barbara shows her work throughout the state and has won numerous awards.
