Free Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides

Free Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides

Many families have enjoyed a leasurely ride along the streets of Bethel this holiday season over the past few Saturdays.  This Saturday, December 18th from 2pm to 4pm will be the last opportunity to take advantage of the fun provided by Deepwood Farm before Christmas day.  The jingle bells will be jingling and the kids will have a swell time.

Volunteers Needed for Living Nativity

Drew Webster, the Chair of this year's Living Nativity, is looking for community members to help.  "We need shepherds, wise men, angels (big and small)....and we are in need of animals (the four legged kind), sheep, goats, cows or any farm animal."  Anyone with any questions, please call and leave a message at 824-2289, the Bethel Alliance Church.  The presentation will take place on the Bethel Common, next to the gazebo on the Sunday the 19th at 5:00pm.  Please join in this joyous celebration.

Bryant Pond Tree Decorated with Lights

Community spirit was in the air on Sunday morning as The Woodstock Fire Department put together a work crew to hang more than 3,000 LED colored lights on the town common tree.

"On December 4, the tree will be lit by Santa Claus with children from Woodstock Elementary School looking on", said Geff Inman, Woodstock's Fire Chief.  Chief Inman continued, "The job couldn't get done without the "lift" help from the Newry Fire Department Chief Bruce Pierce along with George Hayes & Son".
