USDA Invests $183,339 in 10 Maine Businesses

Today, Congressman Mike Michaud praised the announcement by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) that ten Maine businesses will receive investments to implement renewable energy and energy efficiency measures in their operations. A total of $183,339 will be provided to Maine businesses through USDA’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).

“This announcement is very welcome news,” said Michaud. “Improving energy efficiency or converting to clean energy alternatives can help businesses save money and lead to additional job creation. We need more of these types of win-win investments in our country. They help boost economic activity in the short term and promote the sustainability of businesses for years to come.”
