Award-Winning Vocal Quartet

Syncopation is a modern A Cappella group that centers its focus on jazz, specifically bebop, pop and Latin elements. The group recently won the 24th Annual Boston Harmony Sweepstakes A Cappella Festival Award. The group consists of four superb vocalists, including the soprano Aubrey Logan, alto Christine Fawson, tenor David Thorne Scott, and bass Tsunenori "Lee" Abe. The group formed in 2002 and has toured nationally within the US and Japan.

The group has released several CDs, most recently the album Wonderful You, where the group interprets pop songs that have been popular over the past 30 years. They have also been reviewed by the Boston Globe as excellent and having been described as 'The Manhattan Transfer for the 21st Century'. All About Jazz has also called Syncopation "a thoroughly modern, bright, and fresh take on ensemble jazz vocals that effectively updates the entire genre."
